A Brief and Probably Inaccurate History

Nashville hot chicken is said to have been invented by an angry wife who dumped a ton of cayenne into a flour bowl, dipped some chicken in it, then fried it for the wayward hubs to, shall we say, light a little fire under his you-know-what. Thing was, he liked it. Which goes to show that a) cheating is bad and b) hot chicken is delicious.

A Husband Convinced His Wife Hot Chicken Was Good Idea...  

Palmer spent over a year coming up with the magical combination of heat, spice, and southern sass you are about to enjoy. He tweaked batter, fiddled with frying techniques, and tussled over temperatures too many times to count. He tested the concoctions on hot chicken connoisseurs in Nashville, took notes, and kept at it until he reached what we believe is a perfect basket of bird (or fish!) to share with friends and family on the porch with a few cold ones.

Porch opened it's doors in 2018 and they have never looked back. Named "Best Fried Chicken" by Elegant Island Living, Porch quickly became a fan favorite of the island. In 2020 Palmer and Amanda expanded their ventures to Dallas and were named Best Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich in all of DFW. In 2021 they served over 20,000 Mothercluckers State Fair of Texas and were officially named the "Exclusive Hot Chicken of the  State Fair of Texas". February 2nd, 2024 Porch debuted on Diners, Drive-In and Dives serving the infamous Motherclucker sandwich and fried shrimp to Guy Feiri.
